A posthumous Prince EP of unreleased recordings is on the way
‘Deliverance’ will mark one year since the legend passed away
A new Prince EP featuring six previously unreleased tracks will be released on April 21 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the pop legend’s death.
The ‘Deliverance’ EP features five new tracks: ‘Deliverance’, ‘I Am’, ‘Touch Me’, ‘Sunrise Sunset’ and ‘No One Else’. The middle four tracks make up a medley called ‘Man Opera’ before the EP finishes with a reprise of ‘I Am’.
The title track is currently available for streaming on iTunes and Apple Music, but only in the US because of licensing laws according to Prince’s website.
Recorded between 2006 and 2008 with engineer Ian Boxill, who finished the songs after Prince’s death last year, it will get a physical release on June 2.
