Many people have joked about the likeness of grime star Stormzy and footballer Romelu Lukaku in the past, but an Irish newspaper has taken it a little too far.

With the Belgian striker's £75 million transfer from Everton to Manchester United expected to be confirmed today, The Herald were a little too quick jumping the gun for a new picture.

Instead of getting Lukaku pictured in a Manchester United kit, they grabbed a picture of Stormzy in a club tracksuit and even captioned it "New Manchester United signing Romelu Lukaku".

The picture was, of course, immediately jumped upon on social media so we've compiled some of the best responses in the gallery above.

Stormzy seems to have noted the incident saying "I don't find none of this funny btw".

The Herald has issued an apology online saying: "We will keep our eye on the ball in future."

"Hands up, we got it badly wrong," editor Alan Steenson wrote on their website. "Earlier, we made an error with a picture of Romelu Lukaku that wasn't him. It was Stormzy.

"To be honest, we are totally embarrassed and want to say sorry to all involved and our readers for the error."

Seriously, guys, just do a proper Google search next time.
