A new four-storey venue is opening in Manchester

Manchester is set to welcome a new wheelchair accessible venue called YES this September.

The four-storey music venue, bar and eatery is being transformed by local, independent promoters Now Wave.

A former auctioneers house and printers press, the new Charles Street hub will now feature a basement cub, live Pink Room, beer hall bar and rooftop terrace that features a NASA-approved sound system. Entry to both the ground floor bar and the roof terrace will be free to all visitors.

Via a press release co-founder Jon Wickstead states, “We’re proud to be able to contribute to the city’s independent scene which is why we’ll continue promoting events in its other amazing venues and we hope YES will allow our collective experience to help others do amazing things as well.”

YES will host its opening weekend celebrations from September 21-23. Revealing the rest of its autumn/winter programme this week, the venue has locked in the likes of Octavian, Gilles Peterson and Iglooghost for shows this year.
