74-year-old Ibiza-loving man is said to have a “terrifying” club schedule
The Liverpool-born man has been visiting the White Isle for the past decade
Robert Johnson, a 74-year-old man hailing from Birkenhead, near Liverpool, is said to have a club schedule that would rival any young person.
The pensioner, who loves Ibiza and has been visiting the party island each year since 2007, discovered his love for dance music later in life, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Echo reported that Johnson took his first trip to Ibiza in 2007 when he was 58, and returned every year for the next 11 years, only stopping recently due to financial reasons.

Johnson is said to have a “club schedule that would terrify any 21-year-old”, according to Mark Doyle, the owner of Hedkandi, a Ministry Of Sound-owned record label said to be Johnson's favourite.
Doyle has offered to pay for Johnson’s flights to Ibiza next month so he can visit Es Paradis for the next Hedkandi event and created a GoFundMe page to fund the 74-year-old’s next trip.
“Consistently proving that age has no barrier Robert is 74-years-old and has attended events up and down the country,” Doyle wrote. “Robert has never leveraged his age and has never asked for guest-list (we've offered numerous times).”
He added that Johnson is an “example to all of us”, and that he had missed his “Ibiza marathons” over the years. They’ve currently collected more than £2,000 towards his next trip.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the pensioner first found and fell in love with club music in his 40s, and was "hooked” when he visited his first raves and events.
"I’d never heard it on a good sound system,” he explained. “I’d heard it on the car radio but when I heard it in the club it blew my mind. It’s the energy, it’s the way it holds you on your feet. I went back home and I listened to Pete Tong, Danny Rampling, Judge Jules, Dave Pearce.”
Johnson added that he “felt at home” on his first visit to Ibiza, explaining that his secret to marathon stints at the club was having a “disco nap” in the afternoon.
