A 21-year-old is planning to walk from Manchester City Centre to Ibiza in order to attend opening parties, due to "not being able to afford a flight" to the White Isle.

Cheshire-based plasterer Henry Moores is aiming to get to Ocean Beach before its opening party on May 3, in a walk which he estimates will take "60 days." Henry will start the walk from Manchester city centre on March 2.

Moores committed to his plan after messaging Ocean Beach owner, Wayne Lineker on Instagram with the idea. “Bro.. you having to be kidding??” Lineker replied adding that if Henry was being serious they would do “a shot to celebrate”.

Both Henry and Lineker have since shared a video together in which Henry shares that he has never been to Ibiza before as he “can't afford a flight."

Lineker adds: “We’re going to get a group of us on the 2nd [May], to meet him and walk the final walk back to Ocean with man like Henry.”

The route will see Henry walk 507km from Manchester to Portsmouth then 1818km from Caen, France to Denia, Spain and then a final 30km from Ibiza Town to Ocean Beach.

According to the 21-year-old, the walk should take him 60 days and see him walk a marathon each day.

DJ Charlie Sloth has also announced that his alcohol brand AU Vodka will be the official and exclusive sponsor of ‘Henry Walk’.

Last year, Henry walked from Macclesfield to Paris raising over £20,000 to provide Christmas meals and Christmas experiences for those who are less fortunate across the Cheshire and Greater Manchester.

Money raised from Henry’s walk will be going to the Tony Hudgell Foundation, a charity that aims to provide support to children affected by physical, emotional or psychological abuse.

Henry has just launched a Just Giving campaign for the walk, with a target of £20,000 for the charity. To donate click here.
