19-year-old Tyler Roberts-Emmanuel has been convicted of murder after he was found guilty of shooting and killing a man outside a nightclub in Catford, South London.

The incident took place on March 10, 2024, in front of Bromley Road club Silks. According to the BBC, Roberts-Emmanuel was found guilty of murder, and will be sentenced on April 4.

Shaquille Graham, 30, was shot dead as he left the nightclub, the court heard. Roberts-Emmanuel arrived to the area 20 minutes before, where he lay in wait for Graham to leave the venue, prosecutor Joel Smith KC said.

The motive behind the attack is still unknown, though the Old Bailey heard that the murder was planned, with the defendant making a “dummy run” on a scooter just hours before.

"Mr Graham never stood a chance," said Smith KC. "[Roberts-Emmanuel] got off the scooter, walked to Mr Graham, and without pause shot him through the throat. He collapsed and died immediately.”

He added: “Whilst it is obvious that the killing of Mr Graham was planned, the background remains obscure.”

The attack took place in the early hours of the morning, the court heard. The gunman was said to have returned to his grandmother’s house in Peckham after the shooting.

The court also heard that the defendant had attempted to purchase a Kaboo Wolf Warrior 11 scooter a month ahead of the attack, the same one used by the gunman. Roberts-Emmanuel was also said to have made a practice run to Silks at around 7:PM on the night of the murder from his base address.

The address he used as a base was covered by CCTV, the jury heard, and showed the defendant at the same location at “key times”, also using mobile phone evidence.
