40 people were arrested during Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival over the weekend, the BBC reports.

A 13-year-old girl was amongst 21 people arrested on the festival site, while a further 19 people were arrested near the festival entrance across the weekend, according to Police Scotland.

Of the 40 total arrested both on and near the festival site, offences included breach of peace, sexual assault, disorder, and drug charges.

The girl, 13, was arrested on Sunday (July 14) over an alleged breach of peace, BBC News Scotland reports. She was among 15 total arrests that day.

The three-day festival began on Friday (July 12) featuring headline performances from the likes of Calvin Harris, Gerry Cinnamon, and Liam Gallagher. More than 50,000 people attended TRNSMT each day.

On Friday and Saturday, 25 arrests were made — one of which was a 15-year-old boy. Security at the event also reported having prevented two teenage boys from scaling the fence in an attempt to break into the site over two consecutive days.

Police are also searching for two men who are thought to have been involved in an attack that left a 16-year-old boy in hospital with serious injuries. The teenager has since been placed in a medically induced coma, Glasgow Times reports.

The incident reportedly took place in front of the Ferris wheel on the festival site at around 3:10PM on Saturday (July 13). The teenager was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow.

"This incident has left the victim with serious injuries, and we are carrying out extensive inquiries to identify the males responsible,” said Detective Sgt Stephen Greenshields.

"Numerous people will have witnessed this incident, and we would urge anyone with any information that could assist with our inquiries to come forward."
