100% Silk pay tribute to Ghost Ship victims with benefit compilation
Octo Octa's shares her contribution ‘Not Sure What to Do (Variation Zoning 4)'
One year after the deadly Ghost Ship inferno that claimed the lives of 36 people in Oakland, the label 100% Silk has announced a 31-track benefit compilation, titled ‘Silk to Dry the Tears’, in honor those who lost their lives.
Two of the imprint’s beloved artists, Cherushii and Nackt, were among those who lost their lives during the tragic event. The compilation, which is described by the label as a “constellation of artists past, present, future, & eternal”, includes artists such as Akasha System, Pleasure Model, Body-San and the late Nackt.
Ahead of the album release, Octo Octa has shared her contribution to the effort ‘Not Sure What to Do (Variation Zoning 4)’ which can be streamed below.
All the proceeds from the album will be donated to the Oakland-based organization Safer DIY Spaces.
