Monster Energy put its latest GB & Ireland ambassador, KETTAMA to the ultimate test by challenging the Irish DJ & Producer to create a track while in the passenger seat of competition-spec Toyota GT68 drift car.

KETTAMA jumped straight into the deep end, joining Monster’s pro drift athlete Steve “Baggsy” Biagioni at the Aspar Circuit in Valencia, Spain. The mission? Build a brand-new track while being thrown around the 2.2km circuit at full throttle.

“He’s gonna try to make me shit my pants a little bit” KETTAMA laughed before stepping into the passenger seat. “I’m prepared – semi-prepared – not mentally prepared though.”

Despite the chaos that lay ahead, the producer backed himself. “The proof is in the pudding and time will tell. I’m feeling confident” he said. “I have a song kind of made, but I want to arrange it. Making a track in front of people is one thing but making a track in a drift car when you’re fucking going 100 miles per hour is a very, very different thing.”

I’m a big car fan, and this is like a dream for me, to be honest. I’m comically excited, man” he added.

Before the engine even fired up, Baggsy felt the excitement. “KETTAMA’s buzzing,” he said. “He’s super stoked to get in the car. He’s really up for today.”

What followed was pure Monster Energy chaos: roaring engines, tyre smoke, and a producer trying to hold his laptop steady long enough to come away with something that resembled a finished track.
