​VNCCII's latest creative project offers a look into her futuristic world

Following the release of her latest single 'Hyper Drive' in July, VNCCII, the digital avatar alias of Australian singer-songwriter and music producer Samantha Tauber, is bringing to life a creative project that takes her visionary prowess to the next level.

‘Hyper Drive’ is entirely produced, written, and vocalised by VNCCII with additional mixing and mastering from GRAMMY Award-winning engineer Luca Pretolesi, offering a look into VNCCII's futuristic world where pop and electronic music combine, with lyrics touching on female empowerment and taking control of your own future. The track brings moving lyricism and synth-led electronic elements over a 4-4 kick, with blatant influence from hip hop and hyperpop. As a standalone single, 'Hyper Drive' is one of VNCCII's most forward-thinking works to date.

VNCCII is the metaverse musician and alias of Samantha Tauber, the Australian-born, London-based artist behind multidisciplinary projects spanning animation, AI, game design, and live music, often blurring the lines between each. Her live shows seamlessly blend mind-melting visuals created by VNCCII using animated, pre-recorded, and live motion capture, all generated through Unreal Game Engine, a 3D computer graphic creation tool.

By using a mixture of holographic and live-triggered visuals as well as reactionary, auditory events, Tauber's live shows bring an out-of-this-world experience to fans all over the world, promising a theatrical display of visuals and costume when she appears on stage dressed as her "live presence" and the embodiment of her virtual superheroine avatar, VNCCII. Using VR, augmented reality, and spatial computing, VNCCII’s performances promise a step into an “emotional, immersive world".

Alongside the release of her new single, VNCCII has also announced a brand new project in the form of a debut novel, an “epic space opera” exploring alternate human worlds. The science fiction novel will be released soon, VNCCII has revealed, marking the launch of her new multimedia science fiction franchise.

VNCCII's extensive discography soundtracks the "emotional journey of the VNCCII superheroine character", fusing cinematic pop with futuristic electronic tracks. Along with her productions, VNCCII also directs and produces the visual story behind each track with her music videos, created using Unreal Game Engine, cementing the avatar artist as a revolutionary in today's music industry.

In 2023, VNCCII won the prestigious Music Metaverse Award at the Metaverse Entertainment World Summit in Monaco, triumphing over the likes of Gorillaz and David Guetta. Named a "thought leader on web3 and the Metaverse" by The Listen Campaign's Tony Hollingsworth, VNCCII has proved her innovative, creative craft time and time again with shows at famed institutions and festivals including Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the Hellenic Cosmos Greek Theatre, and a headline performance at the Brits Week sponsored by Mastercard.
