The tracks that prove Art Basel isn't just about the art

Here are the tunes that went down at the Miami parties... Because who actually went for the art?!

It's taken a few days to almost fully recover from Art Basel's Miami Beach edition. In its 13th year, ABMB, is North America's premier annual art show that occurs during the first week of December. This year Miami expected an influx of 750,000 people... 500k more than WMC and Ultra 2015.

Now that the art festival has become full-blown with more independent fairs in place, it's an excuse for NYC venue owners and night life promoters, musicians, and dance music labels to takeover downtown Miami's art district, Wynwood, and Miami Beach. The result: a fuck-ton of New York and LA influencers and an overwhelming amount of day and night parties with some of the best and most eclectic music programming possibly imaginable in one city and one week... that's actually meant for art collectors.

There were too many amazing dance music events to account for and attend, but here are our favorite and most memorable songs from the week.

Kelela 'Rewind'

Props to Kelela for being the most-played and appreciated emerging artist at ABMB 2015. The Kingdom and Nugget produced track was played by the Fade to Mind founder himself, as well as Kindness at Baby Basel, the pop up by Brooklyn venue Baby's All Right. Kindness played it again a couple nights later at the Saint Heron x Jack Shaiman Gallery party to a diverse crowd of Solange and art enthusiasts.
