The Cover Mix: Nastia
A new star rises
There's a new name bubbling around clubland right now and Nastia has made the jump from the underground to the big leagues. The Ukrainian selector graces our cover for the March issue and now it's clearer than ever that a new star is rising. Despite running her own vinyl-only label called Propaganda and also her own annual birthday festival in the form of Strichka, Nastia's gig schedule is bigger than it's ever been, with over 131 dates in 2016 alone. To call Nastia a hard-worker would be an understatement.
On March 5, the DJ played her Mixmag Live set at Kamio in London and she showcased exactly why she's held in such high regard at the moment. Her four hour set encompassed all the sounds that have made her name. There was a dusting of dub/dubstep and some rolling house and tech house but this time she opted more for a techno-leaning set, one that had the club shaking.
Her cover mix is an assured, competent and accomplished addition to the magazine's ranks and you can now listen right here. Time to let Nastia show you the broad electronic landscape she's painting for herself.
