Thank God for Garnier

It’s clear that Garnier’s contribution to dance music culture is well documented. With 10 albums to his name, an autobiography and countless singles released, he’s been an ever present figure. Throughout his storied career he’s witnessed trends come and go, but one thing has remained constant, his relentless drive to discover unique melodies and share them with the world.

When Garnier found out he was going to be awarded the Légion d'honneur, he responded with a gesture expressing how this award honours much more than just his own career. It’s a nod to the entire community that he helped steer into the future.

“The message is beautiful and a symbolic gesture for all of us,and I hope it can give hope to a new generation of artists. So it is with emotion and pride that I accept this Légion d'honneur. To all those who follow me, support me and supported me throughout these 30 wonderful years, I would like to dedicate it to you.”

Here's to you, Mr. Garnier. Thank you for three decades of innovation and class. The journey is far from over.
