Everything we know about Trainspotting 2 so far
Thrills, pills and plenty of throwbacks to the original film
Needles are involved again
Needles of the injecting kind are everywhere in the first film, what with Renton and co.'s small matter of heroin addiction. This time round the focus seems to be on needles of a different kind: those of a vinyl deck. We're not saying that means they've kicked the smack once and for all (you'll see below they definitely haven't), but this is a clever symbolisation of something that was used a lot the first time round. Especially when music like Underworld's 'Born Slippy' is included on the soundtrack again. It's cute to see Renton's mum and dad haven't changed his wallpaper in all this time as well. More trains, obviously.
