5 acts to catch at this year's Somerset House summer series

Sons Of Kemet, Cut Copy, Soulection, The Internet and NAO all feature

Somerset House's Summer Series returns for 11 nights of multi-genre line-ups at one of London's most unique venues.

This year's schedule brings in a raft of unmissable acts perfect for dancing to under a warm LDN night sky.

Sons Of Kemet

Having been nominated for the Mercury Prize for 2018’s 'Your Queen Is A Reptile', the four-piece are making waves with a furious kind of jazz fusion. Sons Of Kemet have an utterly distinct sound, watch them taking over on Saturday July 13 with guests Sampa The Great and D Double E, plus DJ Noss.

The Internet

The Internet kicks off the Summer Series with support from Sam Wise. The collective, lead by former Odd Future member Syd on vocals, will showcase their four album repertoire that crosses r'n'b, jazz and funk. This magnetic outfit are not to miss.

Cut Copy

Cut Copy will play hits from a discography that spans almost 20 years. One of electronic music's most famous live acts, their soaring synths and stylish grooves will sound fantastic in the open air at Somerset House. For the summer lovers...

NAO

On Friday July 12, soulful NAO headlines. Her self-described “wonky funk” style mixes dancehall, soul and funk, whilst her distinct tone fuses her songs with unique personality. Head down early for Native Dancer offering support, bringing a jazz/soul sound from early doors.

Soulection

Formed in 2011, this radio show/artist collective/music platform with progressive vision fits right into the Summer Series. Their curation mixes live performances with sets from Xavier Omar, Sango, Joe Kay, Andre Power and Shaka Lion, whilst their previous collaboration with Rinse FM certifies them as ones to catch.
