The king returns with a trippy banger

If there's been one sure thing in dance music over the last 10 years, it's that Skream will enter any party and leave it in tatters. The UK mainstay's sound evolution has come full circle and he's managed to captivate audiences no matter what he plays for over a decade.

Of course he's been bringing a house and techno sound to the global stage more recently and his booking schedule is manic but it's his step into the label management game that's really excited us.

His imprint Of Unsound Mind has now released EPs from Waifs & Strays, Solardo, Alexis Raphael and Matt Tolfrey, as well as bigging up a load of up and coming talent. The next record to arrive via the label though is from the man himself and if you've been to see Oliver Jones play recently, you'll have no doubt lost your shit to this one.

The split EP will feature two tracks that have been doing the business in his sets and if 'This Love' is the rugged, abrasive techno roller then 'Settled' is the Innervisions-esque floater. We've got the premiere of the latter and it's pretty special.

Ominous low-ends rumble while delicate yet deadly riffs twinkle on top and the ferocious claps and snares only add to the pace. It's a refined and accomplished track from the Londoner and has all the makings of one of the summer's biggest smashes. Bravo.

'This Love/Settled' by Skream will be released on May 20 via Of Unsound Mind
