Six DJs tell us their favourite Game Of Thrones characters

It doesn't matter if you're as crazy as the Mad King or as strong and as bold as Jon Snow, if you've got a TV, you've probably caught the Game Of Thronesbug. If you're not a fully fledged member of Westeros then we feel for you but if you're anything like us, you're completely in love with the television phenomenon.

Season Seven has been one of the most intense yet and with things starting to wrap up, it's starting to get pretty emotional. Will the White Walkers kill everyone/everything in sight? Will Arya get revenge and slay the Lannister's. Will Jon Snow ever know anything? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

When they're not playing all over the world and destroying dancefloors, the following DJs love sitting back, getting their chainmail on and seshing GoT. We asked six of our favourite artists, who their favourite characters from the show are and why.

Teki Latex - Lord Varys

My favorite Game Of Thrones Character is Varys, The Spider, a master manipulator who switches sides whenever he feels that the situation demands it, claiming to act "for the good of the realm", and to be honest i believe him, he seems like a good judge of character. His interactions with Littlefinger & Tyrion are always a pure delight and the way he runs his network of spy orphan children he calls "little birds" is pretty interesting.

He is one of the few characters in the show who truly "started from the bottom" and made it big just on the strength of his own intelligence. He has a fascinating backstory shrouded in mystery. In the last season when he meets the new Red Priestess Kinvara and she asks him if he remembers what the voice in the flames said when his parts got tossed in the fire as a kid, you can tell by his face that for the first time ever since the beginning of the show, he is truly absolutely terrified. I keep thinking about this amazing scene (i'm generally obsessed with Lord Of Fire mythos) and i can't wait to learn more.

My Nu Leng - Arya Stark

Well it’s got to be Arya Stark! Obviously we are a bit biased as Maisie’s been coming to our shows for ages, combined with the fact she and my (Tommy) little brother have been in a relationship for a fair while, makes her basically like family now and if I didn’t choose her I’d probably be in the doghouse.

Saying that though she always was my favourite character, just her aggy attitude and determination to go in on everyone that’s done her over has always been an appealing trait. Anyone who feeds her enemies their family members via a pork pie without them realising is a straight up savage! We have a fair bit of catching up to do before getting into the new series though as we fully missed the last one, so we’re gonna have to put the tunes to the side and have a bit of a session on it!

Nightwave - Daenerys

I love Daenerys and how she evolved as a character, from a timid princess to a badass yet compassionate and graceful leader (although her shady side is coming out now). She's a feminist and I do find her inspiring.

I've got a Khaleesi USB stick and cosplay outfit. Also - DRAGONS!

Monki - Tyrion Lannister

For me a character that doesn't get enough shine when choosing favourites is Tyrion. Through the series he's come out to be one of the good guys (well as good as you can get in GoT). He's smart and gets shit done...He's the dude.

MK - John Snow

He's a badass warrior with a crazy style, if I could rock that look I definitely would.

Wilkinson - Daenerys

She has beautiful white hair and 3 dragons which she slays people on. I met my girlfriend Shannon when I was watching Game of Thrones and decided she could be my real life dragon queen.

Also I was in Shangri-La at Glastonbury this year at the bar, and who’s standing next to me? DRAGON QUEEN. And no this wasn’t some sort of hallucination it was the real thing. I played it cool and let her get served first.
