Here's what happens when you mix Planet Earth clips with dance music

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few months (no pun intended) or haven't paid your TV licence, you've undoubtedly seen that Planet Earth II has been sweeping the globe with its first-hand-view of the beautiful world we live in. Sir David Attenborough's silky tones have been guiding us through our Sunday nights alongside some furry friends and savage beasts. Hell, he even makes grass sound interesting.

What's really caught our attention though is the re-imaginings of the soundtrack for the show. Benji B's Planet Earth II Mix features the amazing documentary footage backed with tracks by Flying Lotus and Carl Craig and David Rodigan did the same with a Jungles inspired mix, featuring some classic reggae and dub cuts.

This got us thinking: there's a wealth of music just waiting to be played alongside the BBC's remarkable footage. With that in mind, we've selected a few classic clips from Planet Earth I & II and given you some tracks to mix it with. The possibilities are literally endless so when you get back to an afters this weekend, instead of drawing for that mundane tech-house mix your mate found while he was smashed, why don't you come up with your own eye-popping combinations.

Here are a few to get you started. For now Sir David will have to be put on mute but you'll thank us for that later.
