New music from Avicii emerged over the weekend
Hear his Faithless remix and new tracks aired at Tomorrowland
A bevy of new tracks from Avicii appeared over the weekend.
On Friday, Pete Tong premiered the Swede's big room remix of Faithless' rave classic 'Insomnia'.
The track is now 20 years old and will appear on 'Faithless 2.0', an album also featuring versions of Faithless bangers by Eric Prydz, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren and Booka Shade, among others.
'Insomnia' is of course taken from the UK dance act's debut album 'Reverence'. The record celebrates two decades alongside a number of other seminal dance releases.
On Thursday, Avicii showcased three new tracks during his set at Tomorrowland in Belgium. Sandwiched between Guetta and Aoki on the event's main stage, he used his peak-time slot to drop songs provisionally titled 'Some Nights', 'The Way It Should' and 'Nothing To Lose'. He jokingly told the crowd to "go easy" on him, though it's hard to imagine these beats causing as much controversy as his country-infused material: melodic and vocal-heavy, they land at the easy, hands-in-the-air end of EDM.
Check his full Tomorrowland set below – the new stuff begins at 56 minutes in.
