Mixmag has partnered with music and artist discovery app, WAV, to unearth and nurture emerging artists in dance music. Through WAV, fans experience music like never before, and artists benefit from an all-in-one platform to help propel their career. Mixmag and WAV is giving two talented artists (DJ/producers/vocalists) the opportunity to join the Magnified artist development program 2018, alongside handpicked artists including Octo Octa, Justin Cudmore and more. Artists will benefit from Mixmag x WAV’s 360°music, content, events and distribution platform, reaching millions of – existing and new – fans across the globe.

PRIZES

(1) Enrollment to the Magnified Artist Program 2018

(2) A sixty (60) minute opening performance at a major US Festival, dates to be mutually agreed by both parties; performance must take place between August 19 2018 through March 31, 2019

(3) Round trip Airfare for One (1) from Winner’s home location to US Festival Location, USA

(4) One night hotel accommodations for Winner

(5) A Live-Streamed performance at the Mixmag Lab in Los Angeles, California, USA or the Mixmag Lab in Brooklyn, New York, USA

(6) Credit with WAV’s in-house production studio to produce video content (Value up to $2000)

The competition will run from August 15 at 8am EST to October 15 at 11:59pm EST. The Winner/s will be notified by October 19.

Rules & Regulations

1) Entrant(s) MUST be a WAV customer (i.e. have an Artist Profile on WAV Media platform) at time of entry. Winner(s) will be shortlisted based on those who receive the most engagement on the WAV Platform. The two (2) winners will be selected from the shortlistees by a panel of Music Industry Experts.

2) Winner(s) will be required to provide their WAV username upon selection. If the winner is unable to provide a valid WAV username, they may be automatically disqualified from the competition.

3) Entrant(s) must be active within the Mixmag genres of electronic music, including House, Techno, Deep House, Tech House, Experimental, Bass or Melodic House. Artists outside these genres can sign-up to WAV but will not be considered for the Magnified Program.

4) Getting your Artist Profile recognized through activity on the WAV platform will increase your possibility of standing out to the judges, but is not the sole criteria for being selected for the program. Artists will be selected based on, but not limited to, technical abilities, track selection, forward-thinking production, ability to connect with your fans (via social media and in-real-life), and the availability to join the program from October 19, 2018 through January 31, 2019.
