Listen to a playlist of Leifur James’ club epiphany tracks
Leifur has also shared a gallery of picturesque photos taken during lockdown
Now’s the perfect time to get misty eyed about clubbing. Reminiscing about the good times times when we could go out dancing are getting us through this lockdown.
So with that in mind, we’ve got Leifur James to select a playlist of his “club epiphany” tracks from the early years of last decade.
Featuring the likes of Joy Orbison, Actress, Burial, Mount Kimbie, Four Tet and more, it pulls together a bunch of producers who plotted the course for dance music as it entered the post-dubstep landscape. Anyone who was clubbing in the UK around this time will have many fond memories of these selections.

Speaking about the picks, Leifur James said: “This is what I was listening to around 2010. I still remember hearing these in clubs for the first time and have been coming back to these recently in these isolated weeks. It feels like a new wave might be coming.”
He's putting out a new album called 'Angel In Disguise' this summer, and has just shared the title track which you can listen to below and on other platforms.
Leifur is also a skilled photographer and local to some picturesque scenery, including Avebury’s pagan stones. He’s been out shooting during his government sanctioned exercise and taken some self-isolation snaps for us.
