Mixmag and BUDX are proud to partner to bring you the newest destination of the Lab this summer: The Lab Johannesburg.

On Wednesday, August 7, two of South Africa's renowned DJ-producers - Kyle Watson and Das Kapital - join forces for a rousing night of dance music majesty.

South Africa's Kyle Watson has taken the world by storm with his infectious spin on jacking house and techno. Kyle's original sound has been picked up by leading labels like Ultra, Atlantic, This Ain't Bristol and Dirtybird - giving him the privilege of being one of the very few South African artists to break out of the local scene and tour globally. The dancefloor dynamo effortlessly sells out club shows wherever he goes while consistently providing lethal remixes for major acts such as Rudimental, Zhu, Oliver Heldens, Justin Martin and Malaa. Classically trained and fully tuned into the scene, his forward-thinking house style blends dark and light together with a melodic and raw grit that is entirely unique.

Over the past year, the prolific and ambitious DJ-producer Das Kapital has risen through South Africa's dance music ranks to emerge as one of the countries most in-demand DJs. Receiving loads of commercial radio play in addition to his heavily tuned into In Das We Trust Radio show on national broadcaster 5FM, it's safe to say that Das Kapital is taking over SA's airwaves. In addition to his latest collaborative 'More Wurk' EP on Insomniac Records' sub-label In / Rotation, he's released noteworthy tracks and remixes on labels such as This Ain't Bristol, Audiophile XXL, Kyle Watson's Box Of Cats imprint and more. In both mainstream and underground dance music circles, Das Kapital's winning mixing style continues to merit his reputation as a top selector.
