Nguzunguzu 'Perfect Lullaby Edits' (NORELATION)

LA-based duo Nguzunguzu (pictured above), aka Asma Maroof and Daniel Pineda, launched their Perfect Lullaby mix series five years ago. For many, it was their first introduction to the slinky Angolan dance styles of tarraxinha, zouk and kizomba. Following the release of the third volume in the series earlier this year, this limited edition white label gathers four of their expert edits together. Chart r’n’b surprises are the backbone of so many DJ edits and sound fun here (see if you can trace the origins of ‘He Is In My Harp’), but the pair subvert club clichés while keeping it sexy.
