Mixmag and Burn Energy have shared the first details of the fourth and final stop of the Burn Energy Tour 2024 in Barcelona, Spain. Get tickets here.
On Saturday (December 7), the tour will be taking over Barcelona’s Sala Apolo with an eclectic line-up of local and international electronic experts for its night time event, while details on the day time offering will be announced in coming weeks.
Mixmag can now confirm that the show will be headlined by GRAMMY-nominated house pioneer Honey Dijon and Mercury Prize-nominated junglist Nia Archives.
The pair will be joined by local house aficionado ISAbella - co-founder of Barca-based LGBTQIA+ collective Maricas - for a genre-bending sonic experience within the expansive early 20th century concert venue.
“I love Barcelona. The city is sexy. I love the people. I love the architecture. I love the food,” says Honey. “I always love coming back to Barcelona, I have so many friends here it’s always nice to catch up. So I’m looking forward to coming back in December.
Nia Archives shares Honey’s excitement in returning to the city: “Barcelona was the first city I played outside of the UK so it’s a memorable place for me! I am excited to get back to see the city and people.”
What can fans expect from the double-headliners? “I should have some unreleased dubs and plenty of new-gen jungle tunes for this one,” says Nia; while Honey is keeping things a little more mysterious, telling Mixmag: “ I guess you’ll have to find out if you come.”
Barcelona is the fourth and final stop on the Burn Energy Tour 2024, following on from its first stop in Budapest last month, and the upcoming second and third stops in Warsaw and Venice — which will take place on October 26 and November 9 consecutively.
