As heard at GALA: 20 of the best tracks from Peckham Rye's annual soirée
Getting down South London style!
GALA festival returned to Peckham Rye over Jubilee weekend (June 2, 3-4) for a blissful three days of some of the hottest acts in UK music.
Having been forced to cancel its 2020 edition and delay its 2021 edition until July last year — it was back once again for the May bank holiday, for a long weekend full of sunshine, sashaying and some solid gold selections.
This year the stages remained similar to GALA's 2021 comeback, bringing back the Pleasure Dome by popular demand — while keeping the patio as luscious and crawling with plant life as it was last year, perfect to witness some knock-out sets from acts such OK Williams, Anu, Soichi Terada, Gerd Janson and more.

A new addition for 2022 was the Beacons stage, a bright orange-laden multi-platform area that was located around the entrance of the festival — becoming the perfect vantage point for eager GALA revellers to catch Dan Shake, Giles Peterson, Nubya Garcia and Hunee.
Of course, as always, what really made GALA special was its impeccable line-up. As the festival took place over three consecutive days this year it really gave us a chance to hear some incredible music spanning house, techno, jungle, drum 'n' bass, jazz, disco — and just about everything in between.
We've selected 20 of our favourite tracks we heard at GALA's 2022 edition — featuring everything from rolling jungle, hair-raising disco and yes, the Venga Boys. Enjoy and see you in South London for 2023!
