19 Prodigy gems for 19 years of 'The Fat Of The Land'

Don your shoulder pads and crash helmets, it's game time

Where do we start?

The Prodigy are one of the most seminal electronic music acts of all time, driving the scene forward in ways they couldn't even have imagined when they sent their 1991 demo to XL Recordings.

19 years ago today 'The Fat Of The Land' dropped and it changed everything so what better way to celebrate than to revisit 19 of their most raucous cuts?

This is by-no-means a definitive list but if you're looking to recapture those wild moments on the dancefloor then these should get you started.

Don your shoulder pads and crash helmets. It's game time.

The moment we hear those apocalyptic synths roll in, we can't help but want to set everything on fire. Simply put, this is an absolute classic.

One of the lesser known cuts from 'The Fat of the Land, this track features lush pads and a driving rhythm that takes us to a far away galaxy every time it comes on.

The carnival soundtrack from hell, 'Breathe' came in their heyday just before 'The Fat Of The Land' arrived and solidified The Prodigy as a ravers wet dream.

While we have nothing but love for the original mix, Jonny L's remix has to take the cake. Sherpas chanting over acid basslines has never sounded so good. This one's outrageous.

This is what the apocalypse will sound like. Fact.

One of the happier songs from the group's first album, those keys bring tears to our eyes every time. Dreamy.

If you don't remember losing your shit in the club to this then we don't know where you were mate.

A euphoric journey guided by a melody that hasn't aged a day. The Prodigy certainly brought the flames with this one.

The tune that started it all. Taken from their initial demo, this track takes you right back into the basement where these kids were honing their craft. It's a good place to be.

We want to go and rave. Now.

Yeah, we premiered it. No bias necessary though, this is a techno masterpiece that turned a decent tune from the group's latest album into a banger that will melt any dancefloor it's let loose upon.

Sounding like nothing else the group ever made, the relentless drums and dystopic melodies are swapped for a neck-snapping breakbeat and Space Oddessy-esque pads. If anyone ever makes a horror flick set on an intergalactic space voyage, this needs to get on that soundtrack.

Featuring tribal drums, dubby bass, and emotional strings, this deep cut from their second album isn't the usual stormer we've come to expect. We're not complaining though, it's pretty amazing.

A deranged experiment that only these mad geniuses could create. A sample from a 1970s public information film makes this delightful rave classic. Thanks for the tip Charly, we most certainly will always tell your mummy when you're going somewhere after hearing this.

If you don't want to quit your job and tear shit down after listening to this one, the volume isn't loud enough. Listening at high volumes in residential areas is highly recommended.

An absolute banger taken from the EP of the same name, never has a tune been so deserving of the title-track.

Seen on the 2004 release 'Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned', 'Spitfire' is one of our favourite Prodigy tracks ever and the haunting vocals and relentless riffs haven't aged one bit.

Thank you, CJ. It's hard to imagine anything that could eclipse the original, but this smashing piece of acid could keep us going all night.

Some might say 'Out Of Space' was the choice tune off 'Experience', but we'll be backing this one until we can't rave any longer.
