10 essential Innervisions tracks
Innervisions turned ten this summer. Over the last decade, the label has had an astounding influence on the global house scene. Its sound has come to rule dancefloors everywhere from Mexico to Berlin, establishing label bosses Dixon and Âme (aka Frank Wiedemann and Kristian Beyer) among the world's most popular DJs.
The imprint's Lost In A Moment parties have also taken dance music events to a new level, representing a phenomenal undertaking with unique locations spanning castles and fortresses. This is just another way that it perseveres in its dedication to pushing boundaries and providing singular experiences – a true labour of love.
To mark a decade of domination for the German label, we pick out ten essential tracks.
1 Âme 'Rej'
The label heads' first release on Innervisions arguably remains their most distinguished. At a time when Innervisions was a sub-label of Sonar Kollektiv and not the dance juggernaut it is today, the minimalistic masterpiece 'Rej' introduced Âme and their imprint to a global audience.
2 Henrik Schwarz & Amampondo 'I Exist Because Of You' (Henrik Schwarz Live Version)
Henrik Schwarz has developed a reputation for performing one of the most fun live sets in the sphere of house and techno, characterised by intensely danceable rhythms. This 'live version' of South African percussion ensemble Amampondo showcases Schwarz at his best – it's an unshakably energetic ride certain to flood limbs with movement.
