ZARA remove hoodie following plagiarism claim from London record label SlothBoogie
The children’s jumper accompanied the slogan "Support Local Parties"
London-based DJ group and record label, SlothBoogie have called out high street clothing brand ZARA for using a “plagiarised” design on a kids' jumper.
In a highlights section on the label's Instagram titled "Zara Beef" – SlothBoogie has been openly accusing ZARA of copying their "Dancing With Friends" design, which pictures a graphic of a dancing disco-ball and boombox as a very similar image had been printed on an item of clothing by ZARA.
The ZARA design also includes a graphic of a dancing disco ball and boombox but instead has the slogan “Support Local Parties” above the image.

Designed by Steve Gavan, SlothBoogie’s graphic had been used on merch in 2020 such as items including T-shirts, mugs and stickers.
Since SlothBoogie has been vocal about the situation, the kids jumper selling for £17.99 has disappeared from ZARA’s website.
According to RA the group were preparing to speak with lawyers to see if Gavan could be compensated and to also get ZARA to donate all sales from the hoodie to a charity helping refugee children.

"The company have sent urgent requests internally to take all the stock out of the shops and send them back to headquarters," SlothBoogie said via an Instagram Story on Monday evening. "But yet still no communication from them with us... luckily we've got some sloths on the inside."
"The gaul of saying 'Support Local Parties' while ripping off local parties is fucking disgusting too," SlothBoogie also posted on its Instagram Story.
"There's no allusion to where it's come from or the concept behind it," SlothBoogie told RA. "It's just very weird. It's like someone has seen the design, maybe sent it to a designer externally to mimic and the mimicking didn't go far enough."
