You can listen to DJ Mehdi’s 1500-strong record collection at a Parisian pop-up
Busy P is opening the 'Music Factory' as part of Ed Banger's birthday celebrations
As part of Ed Banger’s 15th anniversary celebrations, Pedro Winter aka Busy P is hosting two months of concerts, workshops and installations inside the Galeries Lafayette Haussman department store in Paris, running from April 11 to June 24.
On the first floor he’s setting up a room called the Music Factory, which will hold around 1500 records from the late DJ Mehdi’s collection.
The public will be allowed to go in and listen to the rich library of sounds, spanning hip hop, house, techno, funk, jazz, rave, breakbeat and much more. It’s a must-visit for diggers and dance music fans.
Talking about the Music Factory, Busy P said: "I pulled out all of Mehdi’s collection which was in his basement. The public will be able to dig into it. We all know what how valuable this would be, symbolically and emotionally."
