Wu-Tang Clan's RZA designs a bespoke vinyl deck

The hip hop frontman has teamed up with Ballantine’s and Crosley to celebrate individuality

It’s 30 years since Wu-Tang Clan released their debut album ‘Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)’, a record that changed the course of hip hop history with its confrontational sound, laying the foundations for a new movement of hardcore hip hop that revitalised the East Coast.

To coincide with the anniversary, RZA has designed a Crosley C6 3-speed record player and accompanying Montero Bluetooth speaker as part of a collaboration with Ballantine’s whisky.

“My 90s slogan was keep it real, and that’s what staying true is all about; live your life with no boundaries, break expectations and embrace what makes you, you,” says RZA.

In the upcoming months, Ballantine's and RZA will encourage individuals to embrace authenticity and celebrate self-expression through a range of product releases spanning music, culinary delights and fashion. Each unique release in this partnership will serve as a platform for RZA to delve into his personal passions, exemplifying the idea that there is no wrong way to express oneself. Let's hope the next drop is an air fryer.
