Watch Erick Morillo get honest about his ketamine addiction

Last week at the annual IMS Ibiza conference, Erick Morillo took his moment in the spotlight to reveal details about his ketamine addiction.

Throughout his interview with Pete Tong, Morillo explained the origins of his addiction and the long, but eventually successful road to recovery.

"When all these young DJs were all of a sudden blowing up and eclipsing me - my ego couldn’t take it," he explained. "My ego couldn’t take that I wasn’t the top dog anymore. That’s when things started to unravel. I started making music I didn’t love and playing music I didn’t love. That’s when things started to get really bad."

Morillo revealed that he attempted rehab three times, naming several low moments (like being banned from British Airways for two years and being arrested three times) and a scary moment where he nearly lost an arm due to his addiction.
