Watch a documentary profiling Dixon and Âme's Innervisions label

Featuring interviews with co-label founders and behind the scenes footage

In a new series of documentaries, Smirnoff Sound Collective is taking viewers inside the operations of Europe’s most respected underground labels.

Innervisions, a label that has continuously pushed the boundaries with deep and spellbinding house and techno music, is one of the labels highlighted in the series. The documentary features interviews with its co-founders Steffen Berkhahn, aka Dixon, and Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann of Âme (pictured) as they discuss how Innervisions operates.

From Amsterdam’s Woodstock ’69 where Dixon and Âme perform back-to-back all day, to Frank Wiedemann discussing the label’s output in his studio and kicking back with Aera, a label newcomer, at the Innervisions office in Berlin, all facets of what it takes to run a successful label are discussed. With three prominent figures making decisions it seems like it could be difficult to agree on everything, but finding common ground is what has made Innervisions work so well since it launched in 2005.
