Fresh warning issued over 'Lego' ecstasy tablets in Manchester
Manchester Police have issued a new warning after 'Mastercard' pill killed a 17-year-old
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have issued a warning over 'Lego' ecstasy pills after two women were taken ill in Manchester last Friday.
After taking the pill, the two 21-year-old women fell unconscious at a club in the city centre and were consequently rushed to hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police have urged anyone who has taken the pill, which is in the formation of a toy 'Lego' brick and is red in colour, to seek urgent medical attention.
Detective Inspector Brian Morley of GMP said: "These women are very lucky. I’m happy to be saying that they should make a full recovery, but the reality is, I could easily have been giving my condolences to their families instead."
This comes just a week after 17-year-old Faye Allen died after taking a 'Mastercard' ecstasy pill at a rave in Trafford, Manchester.
