Wanton Witch becomes 'Daddy's Girl' on newest single
It heralds the release of her debut album self-titled album in June
Bangkok-based producer and artist Wanton Witch has announced the release of her debut self-titled album. It will be released on June 4 via Stroboscopic Artefacts.
The lead single ‘Daddy’s Girl’ was released this week to announce the news, a scorching, abrasive track that tips between experimental noise production and quietly angry melodies. It sets the tone for her debut album, which incorporates loud, insistent sound experiments into a danceable framework influenced by trap, hip hop and hardcore.

Wanton Witch is a cofounder and original member of the queer underground collective NON NON NON based in Bangkok.
Born and coming of age in the isolated community of Borneo Island, ‘Wanton Witch’ explores Wanton Witch’s experience of navigating Malaysia as a queer trans person. Barrelling and unrelenting in its beats, it’s reminiscent of the energy needed to constantly reassert oneself and one’s identity within hostile environments.
