Voice behind controversial AI rapper FN Meka says creators “ghosted” him

The real life rapper said that he was never paid, despite FN Meka landing record deals

The "real" human voice behind controversial AI rapper FN Meka has spoken out on his experience with the rapper’s creators.

Kyle The Hooligan, the rapper who allegedly voiced FN Meka, said that creators “ghosted” him without any form of payment, despite the AI landing record deals and reaching millions of followers across social media.

“I tried to keep it quiet because I was gonna wait until this shit blew up and then go after them,” he said in an Instagram post last week.

“They came to me with this AI shit and asked me if I wanna be the voice of it and I thought it was gonna be some kind of collaboration. They promised me equity into the company, percentages, all this stuff.”

The controversial rapper - created by a white man - landed a record deal with Capitol Records earlier in August making him the first AI rapper to sign with a major label.

He was shortly dropped by Capitol for accusations of racial stereotyping, which included posting photos of the virtual artist being beaten by police and using the n-word in his music.

“Next thing I know, n**** just ghosted me, use my voice, use my sound, use the culture and literally just left me high and dry,” Kyle The Hooligan told fans.

“I ain’t get a dime off of nothing and they got record deals, all this stuff. I wasn’t involved in no meetings or none of that, which is fucked up,” he said. “So, I’m glad their ass got cancelled because that’s karma for their ass.”

In the video’s caption, Kyle said that the creators used his “voice and likeness and culture” and gained “10 million TikTok followers and a big record deal off what I created”.
