Vestax returns with the Phoenix mixer
It's the company's first product since going bankrupt in 2014
Vestax is back. After declaring its bankruptcy in 2014, the Japanese company returns with a new DJ mixer, the Phoenix.
The company helmed by Hidesato Shiino is now operating as STP/Vestax, with the high-end piece of kit apparently based on Vestax's PMC-CX. Equipped with a four-channel cross fader, the press release promises "punching sound and dynamic range".
Aimed at both amateur and professional DJs, Shiino states it won't be going on sale to the mass market to begin with according to DJ Tech Tools, but pre-orders can be taken now, before becoming available for a yet-to-be-decided price in May.
Having announced the relaunch of the company back in January, more bits are expected to follow the mixer, including a power amplifier, turntable, SP system, signal devices and pre-amplifiers.
