Vegyn - 9/10

Don't sleep on this certified beezer from north-west London's Vegyn.

It comes cut to a four-track 12" EP released via his own PLZ imprint and is pure fire at the 125bpm mark (also great pitched up to 130).

A taut, rhythmic workout, all precision-engineered percussion and deep, rolling bass bumps, it sits neatly with recent house from Kowton, Hodge and Alex Coulton as well as the club chutzpah of Neana, Sudanim and Gage.

Sleek, slinky and super-heavy, it takes cues from classic Skull Disco and Pearson Sound, but is very much of the now.
