Truncate - 7/10

It's been a while since Kris Wadsworth appeared on our techno page. When he does pop up it's usually with something quite peculiar, though, and this rework of Truncate's 'Submission' fits the bill perfectly. A sub-aquatic bassline punctuates the intro in tandem with a heavily filtered vocal and subtle beats.

As it rolls out we get some almighty cataclysmic muted pads, which are both imposing and full of darkness. It's a far cry from the original, and no surprise from a man who truly carves out his own pathway in this business. A delight.
