Oooops. TomorrowWorld re-charges festival-goers after refund error
Only one-third of the ticket price was meant to be reimbursed, rather than the whole amount
Just when TomorrowWorld started to earn back some respect from the festival-goers that it promised refunds to, it's all gone wrong again.
After thousands were left stranded outside the Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia festival due to poor weather conditions, some people unexpectedly received full refunds earlier this week. Too good to be true? Apparently so. Those who were fully reimbursed have been recharged as a result of being given more than the intended one-third of the ticket price refund.
According to YourEDM, the SFX Entertainment-owned festival's ticket seller Paylogic emailed those concerned, writing: "You may have noticed on your credit card statement that you were refunded the full amount of your TomorrowWorld Full Madness Pass or Passes. In accordance with the TomorrowWorld Ticket Refund policy, found here, 1/3 of your ticket price will be refunded, not the entire amount.
"Since we refunded the full ticket price, we will now charge 2/3 of the ticket price separately again. We will strive to have both transactions be part of a single month's statement so no additional action is required from your side."
Another not-so-great look for SFX after Beatport, the digital music store owned by Robert F.X Sillerman's company, was forced to freeze royalty payments to record labels.
