TomorrowWorld may return in 2018
Promoter LiveStyle suggests the festival could return in the wake of SFX's "rebirth"
2015 was the last we heard of TomorrowWorld, Tomorrowland's US extension that took place in Chattahoochee Hills in Georgia until heavy rainfall and unexpected closures left festival goers stranded and left to sleep in the mud for the last edition of TomorrowWorld before it was cancelled officially.
In addition, with the fall of SFX, it seemed as though TomorrowWorld's chapter was closed for good. However, since the downfall of the company formerly owned by Robert Sillerman, what remained of SFX post-bankruptcy has since been reformed into a new company called LiveStyle, headed by former chief executive of the concert company AEG Live Randy Phillips.
LiveStyle now claims that TomorrowWorld could return as soon as 2018. “The relations between SFX and Tomorrowland were acidified," a spokesperson said to Belgium outlet De Tijd. "But now that new people are in control of the current LiveStyle, there is a new approach.”
A formal announcement has yet to be made, but along with recent news of former HARD Events CEO Gary Richards departing Live Nation for a new role with LiveStyle, it wouldn't be much of a surprise of the "reborn" SFX began ramping up action on their events side soon.
