Tom Trago

We love Tom Trago here at Mixmag HQ. He's one of the best DJs to come from the Netherlands in recent times and his expert mixing coupled with superb track selection has set him aside from the rest.

We went to Rush Hour Records at the end of last year to film his 100% Vinyl set and we were blown away by the results.

His label Voyage Direct stared in 2010 and has been responsible for releases from Interstellar Funk, Boris Werner, San Proper, William Kouam Djoko and of course plenty from Trago himself.

His next venture sees him release via Dekmantel as part of their collaboration with clothing brand Patta. The series features several split 12" vinyls from artists like Deniro, Makam and Fatima Yamaha alongside some slick new clothes. Blink and you'll miss em, these limited edition threads and tunes might be hard to get your hands on but never fear, we've secured the premiere of Trago's cut.

'Brutal Romance' is a trippy yet majestically melodic roller, one that features chunky basslines set against delicate riffs and tight percussion. It's exactly what we've come to expect from Trago and we love it. Check it out.
