Tolga Fidan - 7/10

We have been without any Tolga Fidan releases since his album in 2012, but now the French/Turkish producer is back with a two tracker on his own Bass Cadet Records. A side 'FRA–B-C' is an ecstatic tribal cut with a rolling bassline that kicks up a gear when the Middle-Eastern piano kicks in to give us something quite special. 'Dead Face' on the flip harks back to his tracks on Vakant. This is dramatic deep tech, full of rich textures and subtleties sit below its analogue lead synth. Two tracks showing Tolga's considerable skills in the studio.
