Beats in Space boss is going in
The Lab New York is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly afterwork party where we stream the best American and international DJs, live from our private Brooklyn location. This Friday, November 6, we are excited to host a New York staple, Beats in Space label honcho and radio host, Tim Sweeney.
Sweeney is an expert at translating the music that inspires and excites him the most, to the public. He does this humbly through his 'Beats in Space' broadcast and label where he features an array of up and coming local artists. When DJ'ing, his taste in music can perhaps be described as "killer psych techno disco pop."
Right now Tim is busy working on a new production project with Lauer called "T&P" with their first 12" is due out at the end of January on Beats in Space, as well as a two CD compilation of the imprint's first twenty releases. Check out Tim Sweeney here.
