Tiësto releases new 'The White Lotus' theme song remix
The Season Two theme 'Renaissance' has become an unexpected dancefloor hit
Tiësto has released his own edit of the White Lotus theme tune.
The title track titled 'Renaissance' has become a surprise dancefloor hit following the success of the HBO shows second season. It was created by the show’s Emmy-winning composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer who also created season one’s title track ‘Aloha!’.
The remix, which according to CNN is the first that HBO have approved, features the tracks operatic vocals with a "twist" on the drop added in by the Dutch EDM producer.

“Fans absolutely love it,” Tiësto, aka Tijs Michiel Verwest, told CNN. “Every time it plays in my set you can feel the energy shift on the dancefloor and everyone just goes wild. The feeling is electric. I knew the first time I played it we were onto something special.”
Tiësto has previously been nominated for three GRAMMY’s and won in 2015 with his remix of Jason Agel and John Legend’s ‘All Of Me’ with his Birthday Treatment remix.

Verwest isn't the first to drop the theme tune in the club, French DJ Teki Latex, who opened his set at The Lab LDN in December with the original version of the track track before dropping it at fabric.
Teki Latex tweeted: "Part of the duty of the DJ is to incorporate in their set the hot songs that are relevant to the culture at this very moment. Right now it's the White Lotus season 2 opening theme. I don't make the rules."
