Local reports say that 50 people were treated on-site
Thirty six people were hospitalised after attending an Avicii gig at Boston's TD Garden last night, according to local news.
The Boston Globe reports that 50 people were treated on site while 36 others were transported to hospital. Authorities said most of the problems were drug and alcohol related while Boston's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) said there were no major symptoms or fatalities.
It's thought that Boston EMS turned up at the venue at around 8.30pm local time when it received calls for the medical assistance of two people.
Avicii tweeted shortly after the concert, sending his condolences to all involved and their families.
Live Nation also issued a statement, saying: "While this is still a developing situation, based on early reports from the venue it appears the majority of the transports were people outside the venue who were too impaired to be allowed inside the venue and access to the concert."
USA Today reports that Avicii's spokeswoman Diana Baron said she was waiting for a full report from the venue and promoter Live Nation.
Earlier this year, 29 people were reportedly hospitalised at an Avicii gig in Toronto.
