A full roster of undeniable dance music titans
BBC Radio 1 has just announced its nominees for the 2016 Essential Mix of the Year: Âme X Dixon, Leon Vynehall, Dusky, Recondite and Midland.
The BBC Radio 1 Essential mix is an honor of the highest celebration in the electronic community. Being enlisted for one is an industry stamp of approval and a chance for artists to curate and showcase the sounds that define them.
2015's Essential Mix of the Year was awarded to our most recent October cover star, the Berlin techno king Ben Klock. The Berghain resident went against Maceo Plex, Tale of Us and NERO for the top slot, and although a difficult talent to follow, this year's nominated artists are the best of the best.
