The Rainbow Venues has launched a campaign to appeal club closure
The Birmingham spot had its license revoked last year
Electronic music hub Rainbow Venues has launched a fundraising campaign to help appeal against the decision made last year by Birmingham City Council to revoke the club’s license.
The #educatenotrevocate campaign launched online this week with a new website dedicated to the cause. Calling the recent actions taken against the venue and indeed the city, “a devastating few weeks for Birmingham’s night time economy”, the campaign’s mission statement also explains, “The authorities need to acknowledge the huge significance The Rainbow Venues have, to millions of visitors to Birmingham, and what impact it will have on the cities nighttime economy. We don’t want to silence our voice. We want our voice to be heard and we want to see if we can make a difference.”
