The Minimoog Model D synth is back on sale
The classic is going for $3,749
One of Moog Music Inc.'s most prized instruments, the Minimoog Model D, is back in production.
The reintroduction was teased back in May, via some Instagram posts from Moogfest in North Carolina, and it's now retailing for $3,749.
It's the first time since 1981 the Minimoog has resumed production, with each one handcrafted at the company's factory in Asheville, North Carolina.
Housed in an Appalachian hard-wood enclosure, three vintage Moog oscillators, custom reissued transistors and military spec precision resistors are just some of the features.
However, only a small number of Minimoog units will be available each month "due to the complexity of the build process coupled with the demand for other Moog instruments".
