The founder of Tresor looks to open a new Detroit club

Dimitri Hegemann, the man behind Berlin's pillar techno club Tresor, has a new Detroit venue in the works.
Though details are sparse, the iconic founder's potential partnership with the city's Arte Express raises speculation that the selected venue will be the currently abandoned Packard Plant.
Packard Plant, owned by Arte Express, has a pending proposal to freeze the site's property taxes for the next 12 years and pitches the value of a new nightclub:
"... a lot of young people from Berlin who are extremely interested in Detroit. Berlin, of all cities I've been in, loves Detroit more than any other city."
The plan is an overt move to fuse two of the world's meccas of techno, further booth the city's economy and bring in a rich, outside layer of culture.
Hegemann is also actively working to establish a special designation rule to allow his new venue to serve alcohol past the state legislation's 2am cut off.
