The FDA issues warning that if you snort cocao, you're going to have a bad time

The FDA has issued an official warning against the use of a new "legal high" product called Coco Loko.
The chocolate-based "snuff" powder, designed to be snorted to give users increased energy and a euphoric high, has been marketed as an "alternative to illegal street drugs" and contains ingredients commonly used in energy drinks like Taurine and Gaurana.
The components of Coco Loko have not been tested for intranasal consumption and have the potential to cause constricted breathing, spiked blood pressure and heart palpitations.
FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb elaborates on the issue: "At a time where drug addiction is threatening the fabric of American society we must take action when we see efforts that may further fuel illicit drug abuse. We'll continue to vigorously target bad actors that sell unapproved products, including products that contain undeclared drug ingredients".
The brand behind the cocoa product, called Legal Lean, also produces a legal version of the codeine-promethazine drink known as lean, made with doxylamine and an unnamed sedative.
The Legal Lean and Coco Loko site has currently been taken down following the FDA warning.
